The short version
What's in here
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply when you visit reneedolling.com, sign up for anything free, or buy, access or use any of my courses, programs, bonuses or digital products.
By doing any of those things, you agree to these Terms and my Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't buy or use them.
This business is run by Renée Dolling ("I," "me," "my," "we" or "us"), based in Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada. I work with people worldwide.
I offer:
These are made for people who want to build an online course business, especially around a full-time job. Anything not clearly listed on a sales page as included isn't included.
You need to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy from me or create a course account. By buying, you confirm you are, and that the information you give me is accurate and complete.
Free stuff, like the 9–5 Exit Plan, masterclasses and emails, is for education and inspiration only. The numbers, timelines and ideas they give you are estimates based on what you enter, not promises or professional advice. I may change or remove free resources at any time.
If you choose a payment plan:
That includes if you change your mind, don't have time, don't use the content, or don't get the results you hoped for. It also applies to every payment on a payment plan.
So please read the sales page carefully, and if you're not sure the course is right for you, email me before you buy. I'm happy to answer questions honestly, including telling you if it's not a fit.
The exceptions: if you were charged twice or charged the wrong amount because of a billing error, I'll fix it. Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have under consumer protection laws that can't legally be waived.
If something's wrong with a charge, please email me first. It's faster, and I'll sort it out.
If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank instead, I'll pause your access while it's reviewed and share proof of your purchase, your agreement to these Terms and your course activity with the payment processor. If the dispute is decided in my favour, you're still responsible for the full amount owed. Filing a dispute in bad faith may mean losing access permanently.
Everything I create, paid or free, belongs to me. That includes videos, scripts, workbooks, templates, tools, AI conversation frameworks, slides, emails, graphics and my method and names, like the B.O.S.S. System and the Empire Conversation. It's protected by the Copyright Act of Canada and international copyright laws.
When you buy, you get a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the content to learn and to build your own business. You may not:
Want to use something beyond personal use, like quoting me or sharing a lesson? Email me for written permission. Breaking these rules may end your access without a refund, and I may take legal action under Canadian and international law.
The course, content, copy, sales pages and ideas you create using my course, including with the help of AI, belong to you. I don't own them or take a cut.
If you send me feedback, suggestions or ideas, I can use them to improve my programs without owing you anything. If you send me a testimonial or results, I'll always ask before sharing it publicly.
Building a business takes time and real work, and your results depend on many things I don't control, like your effort, skills, experience, niche, audience, timing, the economy and how consistently you follow through. Many people who buy courses never use them, or don't get results.
Any numbers, examples, income goals, timelines or stories I share, including my own, are for illustration only. They aren't typical, and they aren't a promise of what you'll earn. Buying my course doesn't mean you'll be able to leave your job.
My content is for education only. I'm not a lawyer, accountant, tax professional or financial advisor, and nothing I share is legal, tax, financial or medical advice. Before making decisions about things like quitting your job, business registration, taxes, contracts or investments, please talk to a qualified professional.
Whether you're commenting in a course, replying to my emails or messaging me, please be kind and respectful. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, spammy or that belongs to someone else, and don't promote your own offers without permission. I may remove anything that breaks these rules and, if needed, remove your access.
Anything you share in a course comment area may be seen by other students, so don't post confidential information. Unless we've signed a separate agreement, there's no promise of confidentiality beyond what's in my Privacy Policy and Canadian law.
My website, courses, free resources and content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that they'll meet your needs, be error-free or always be available, as far as the law allows.
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost income, lost data or business losses, that come from using or not being able to use my website, courses or content, or from anything you decide to do because of them.
If I am found liable for anything, my total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid me in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $100 CAD.
You agree these limits are a fair way to share risk, and they're part of why I can offer my programs at the price I do. Any claim must be started within one (1) year after it arises, or it's permanently barred.
If you break these Terms or the law, or misuse my content, and that causes a claim against me, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, damages and legal fees that result.
These limits apply only as far as Canadian law, including British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, allows.
I may pause or end your access, without a refund, if you break these Terms, share or misuse my content, commit fraud or file a bad-faith chargeback, harass me or other students, or don't pay what you owe.
If your access ends, your licence to use my content ends immediately, and you're still responsible for any amounts you owe. Sections that should logically continue, like ownership, disclaimers and limits on liability, still apply after access ends.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
